Elizabeth Deines

Funeral Services for Mrs. Elizabeth Deines, 95, of 1815 Fourth Avenue will be Friday at 2 p.m. from the Emmanuel Congregational Church, the Rev. Henry Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

A family prayer service will precede the church services, at 1:30 p.m. at the Benson-Coulthard Funeral Home.

Mrs. Deines died Tuesday [Feb. 2, 1960] at a local rest home.

She was born May 1, 1864, at Norka, Russia, and was married to George Deines in Russia. They came to the United States in 1892, living at Friend, Omaha and Norfolk before moving to Scotts Bluff County in 1914.

They farmed here until retirement in 1935, when they moved to Scottsbluff.

Mrs. Deines was a member of the Emmanuel Congregational Church.

Survivors are two sons, George of Scottsbluff and Jacob of Tucson; five daughters, Mrs. Katie Helzer of Sidney, Mrs. Elizabeth Beitz of Vallejo, Calif.
